Since April, 2010, the TMS Serenity Center, under the direction of Dr. Kimberly Cress, has been dedicated to helping patients suffering from mood disorders. TMS Serenity Center provides state-of-the-art care for individuals not helped by, intolerant of, or contraindicated for, medications with the use of neuromodulation. Neuromodulation utilizes advanced technology to leverage the brain’s natural ability to build new or improve the function of networks that control mood and behavior. We employ personalized care through a thorough initial assessment. This is followed by the use of scientifically-proven neuromodulation treatment protocols selected for each individual. These protocols are implemented to help individuals get truly well, not just gain a reduction in symptoms. Our goal is to help individuals take charge of life rather than let the illness take charge of them.

We use Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, or TMS. TMS Therapy is one of the most technologically advanced depression treatments available. This noninvasive, outpatient therapy has been FDA-cleared for the treatment of Major Depression since 2008. TMS has not been FDA-cleared for treatment of anxiety disorders, however, clinical trials as well as our results show the efficacy of TMS treatment.

Since April, 2010, Dr. Kimberly Cress has been treating patients with this innovative non-medication alternative. TMS Serenity Center is one of the largest, most experienced providers of TMS therapy in the greater Houston area. Dr. Cress has continued to advance her knowledge about TMS as the field of neuromodulation progresses, and continues her presence now as an international speaker.
